Edona after high school spent 4 years living and studying abroad, gaining new experiences, meeting many new people and learning about other cultures. After her studies abroad, she wanted to return to Kosovo hoping to contribute to the reconstruction of her country with her knowledge and experience. In 2016 she was appointed as manager of CfKK in Pristina and became the front-lady for the foundation.
For her, this is the job she always dreamed of because she is helping sick children directly.
Never look down on anybody unless you’re helping them up.
2016 – present:
CfKK Manager in Pristina.
Previously: Bachelor in International Relations at ACT (American College of Thessaloniki, Greece); internship at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo.
The manager and front-lady description actually does not do justice to Edona’s role. She takes on every task that poses itself: she knows every patient and its parents, every relevant person in the Pristina area. Also she is the contact for the CfKK Foundation, problem solver, personal assistant, co-responsible for ordering of medicines and corresponding import documentation, and in the end the distribution of the medicines in the clinic, including stock management. She writes project proposals for fundraising, manages relations with donating companies, organisations, and individual people, gives interviews on the Foundation on radio and TV, and supervises foreign trainees on their contributions to CfKK.
