In 2018, Marianne and her daughter returned to Amsterdam after a 14-year period in which she worked for the UN and EU to strengthen the rule of law and the economic reconstruction of Kosovo. In Pristina she met Anke Gerrits, and she is grateful that from the early start of CfKK in 2013 she has been able to help the Foundation with her legal expertise, knowledge of Kosovo, and her network. Also she contributes by clarifying cultural differences in the relation of CfKK and the Princess Máxima Center and the Kosovar doctors, the UCCK and the patients and their parents.
